Update For This Week

April 22, 2009

Nothing really new to report on and that is a good thing for me. I am getting ready for a busy couple of months, this weekend is my manager Jake Bell's wedding and I am very happy for him. Hump and I give Jake a hard time because our track record with our relationships has not been very good, but I know Jake is very blessed with a strong and understand lady and I see them having a great life together. The following week myself and some of my team mates are going to Waverly Hills. The excitement is starting to build for me and I think I am going to put together a journal and add it to our site as an eBook.

Last night we had our monthly meeting at Sundown East, which we have every third Tuesday of the month. The meeting went well and I was really excited that our two new members attended the meeting. I am excited because Alex traveled from Pensacola and Tammy traveled from Birmingham. I really appreciate their dedication and excitement about being a part of our team. We also have another new member from south Alabama, Josh, who is showing a lot of interest in learning. Also, Greg from our area who is already a very experienced investigator. All four of the new members bring something to the table which our team needed and I am really blessed to have them be a part of the team.

We are looking to add some new investigation spots for our event in Selma on June 26 & 27. So please, everyone try and attend this event. It is very affordable and all the proceeds go to benefit the Selma Historical Society for the Vaughn Smitherman Museum.

I want to thank everyone out there for all your friend ship and support. Please remember to check out our Blog Talk radio show on Thursday nights.

With Love and Respect,

Shawn

The Times They Are A-changin'

April 8, 2009
Four years ago today, my best friend and Masonic brother was killed
and with him a piece of the old Shawn died as well.

I was just getting over the death of my Grandmother in February and
preparing for the birth of my first son Tyrus. I remember the early
morning phone call from Hump that we needed to come down to the police
station because Eric had been killed in an accident. With that all the
grief I had been fighting back hit me all at once, and I realized that
I was soon to be a father. On that ...

Phew... Finally back home...

April 6, 2009

I am finally home for the next few weekends. I like staying busy and doing what we do but I have been on the road now for about five weekends in a row. I'm not saying we won’t be busy but we will be doing some local stuff which I am excited about. I had a great weekend in New Orleans. I was there to do a cleansing which took place Saturday and Sunday morning. The rest of the time I just hung out at my favorite place to stay, the Rathbone Inn. The reason I like it so much is because it has ...

A Busy Month Comes to a Close

March 31, 2009

I am winding down this week from a very busy month. It was a good month for me and SPR. We could not have closed out the month any better than we did at Imagicon. We had a great time at the event and we met some wonderful people. We also met some really cool, strange people as well with all those costumes. I do appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the event and I want to thank everyone who listened to our presentations, the three we prepared for and the one we kind of stumbled on.  Satu...

Awesome & Productive New Orleans Weekend

March 24, 2009

I had a great week last week. We were very busy as always which is a good thing. We had a great time last Tuesday at our friend Erin's mother's St. Patrick's Day party where we were invited to come and speak. The food was good and I enjoyed meeting everyone who was there. I appreciate the opportunity to speak and answer questions about our field of research and the spiritual world. I regretfully had to miss the Through The Veil Radio Show but as always I know Susan and Babs did a great job.

What A Weekend!! ;o)

March 18, 2009

I am back home from a wonderful weekend at the Circle of Life Expo in Pensacola, Florida.  I must say that I am dragging a bit this morning. I did not arrive home until 3:00 a.m., but it was all worth it.

As always I had my typical busy week with my job, my children and the work that I do in the paranormal field, which I love so much.  This weekend’s event was a wonderful experience.  Erikca and everyone from the Mystic Cottage did a great job putting this event together.  I appreciate ...

Great Benefit Event and Busy Month

March 9, 2009

I had a week of ups and downs.  As always, we had a very busy week.  We had a team meeting Monday night to discuss the Buena Vista Event and also the Circle of Life Expo that is coming up.  We had our regular Through “The Veil” Radio Show Tuesday night with Susan and Babs.    We had our Thursday night show with Chad, the American Ghost Hunter.  We had a lot of responses about Chad being a guest on our show.  We are going to actually discuss some of the feedback in the upcoming Thursday ni...

Exciting Weeekend & Busy Month ahead

March 3, 2009

I have had, as always, a very busy but productive week. We had our Through the Veil Radio Show Tuesday evening and SPR Radio show this past Thursday night.  The weekend began with a little disappointment, we had to cancel the Y102 to event because of the severe weather, but we are planning another event next week and we will make it up to the winners.

The remainder of the weekend was an upswing and a weekend I needed to get centered again and focused for the many months ahead.   I had a r...

Personal Challenges & Busy Weeks Ahead

February 25, 2009

This past week or so has been a really trying week for me with my personal life.  I had to make some tuff decisions for my boys.  I want to thank everyone, all my friends and family for their support and prayers. No matter what, I firmly believe that God will not put any thing on you that you can not handle. I know it is easy to look in the mirror and ask God when is he going to stop loading you up with life’s burden, heartaches and pain. I honestly feel like God puts you through hell to ma...
