WAVERLY HILLS, Finally!!
Wow! What an awesome week and weekend!
I had a very busy week at work due to many storm claims etc., but all the hard work was well worth the weekend I had planned.
I took Thursday and Friday off so that I could head to Kentucky for a “paranormal” weekend.
After a restless night of sleep Wednesday night, I decided to just stay up; I had to be on the road in a couple of hours anyway. I was not sure if the restlessness was caused by the excitement of the investigation or me battling this horrific cold, either way I was ready to hit the road.
Thursday morning, I got on the road at 5:00 am picked Greg up at his house and we headed to Cullman, which is about two hours away. We met the rest of the group there; Marty, Shelly, Beth Ann & Scottie. When we arrived in Cullman, at Marty’s house, we were switching vehicles and loading Scottie’s vehicle and as always, funny things happen, well….they’re funny to me. Marty has this dog that is the size of a small pony. Her son, Trevor was trying to get the dog in the house and while doing so the dog got away and jumped into Scottie’s vehicle after several minutes Trevor was unable to get the dog out of the car. Marty had to get the dog out and put in the house and during this struggle, Marty gets her morning bath as the dog covers her in slobber lol.
Well after Marty got cleaned up we hit the road. We made it to our hotel just in time to get our stuff unloaded and got changed before we had to meet the NightWatchers crew for dinner. We actually had to stay in Georgetown, Kentucky which is about 70 miles from Louisville because it was the Kentucky Derby Weekend.
At first I was a little bummed because we had to stay so far away, but once we arrived in Georgetown I was pleasantly surprised, it was a beautiful town full of history.
As I stated in my last blog, I am working on another eBook. I have been working on this for a while – since about April 17th.
I had such an amazing weekend with friends from my team as well as from Nightwatchers. As you know we went to Waverly Hills, a place I have always wanted to investigate. We also went to an old morgue in Kentucky while we were there. The Waverly Hills investigation was fantastic, the morgue investigation was really different, and I am not really going to go into detail about that investigation. However, The Waverly I will go into detail about, but not here in this blog. That is what my eBook is about – The Waverly so when I am finished with it – I hope you will check it out!
We have a lot of events coming up that we are really excited about. Check out my blog next week for a couple of new event announcements.
Well, I am going to close for now and get back to work on my eBook.
As always, thank you so much for all of your friendship and support, many blessings
